I'm headed off to NCTE in San Antonio Texas week after next. I'm looking forward to sitting in on a few great panels that I can share with you all; however, I'm also there on a "mission." I'm on one of the elected members of the College Section Nominating Committee. We need names to nominate for the College Section Steering Committee and candidates for the next year's College Section Nominating Committee. So if you are going to be at the conference, please stop by and share some names of colleagues and friends who might be good folks to serve on one of these two NCTE committees:
- Friday, Nov. 21, 5:30–7:00 p.m.: Table set up for nominations (Marriott Rivercenter, Salon F, 3rd Floor).
- Saturday, Nov. 22, 12:00-12:45 p.m.: Open for nominations (Marriott, Rivercenter, Salon A, 3rd Floor).
- Sunday, Nov. 23, 8:00–9:00 a.m.: Open for nominations (Convention Center, Room 205).

An excursion to seashore or mountain resorts is my favorite way of spending weekends. Weekends are always enjoyable for me.
